CIS has further consolidated its positions in Chad where for the last 16 years it has been supporting leading global petroleum groups like ExxonMobil, Schlumberger and United Hydrocarbon.
Following an international call for tenders, the Anglo-Swiss group selected CIS to manage the remote sites of Mangara and Badila, in the south of the country for a period of three years.
On this basis, CIS will assure the catering, living accommodations, cleaning, laundry and facilities management services for 200 agents, or nearly 220,000 meals per year.
This project is part of the programme for developing infrastructure for Glencore's oilfield in Chad that began operating in 2011 and includes two onshore production sites extending from Moundou to Sahr in the south of the country. The objective is to become Chad's most important hub for petroleum development.
CIS has been a contributor to this project since Glencore started up operations in 2011. Among the factors behind the customer's choice, in addition to the quality of the service provided by CIS, was its commitment to social economic development in this operating area and in particular, its policy of providing training to the local population and the nationalization of supervisory functions.
Fully in line with the ARISE 500 plan, this latest success will bolster CIS' positions in this region and highlights the confidence and satisfaction of its customers.
