CIS wins a contract in Burkina Faso

CIS expands its positions in Burkina Faso where it has been operating for 5 years alongside the Canadian-based mining company Semafo, operator in the gold production and exploration sector in West Africa.

Following an international call for tenders launched in connection with the Natougou gold project, CIS has been selected by Semafo Boungou SA, subsidiary of Semafo, to assure the management of the mining site. This project is located in the south-eastern part of Burkina Faso, approximately 320 kilometers from the capital, Ouagadougou, in the Birrimian gold province, which includes the majority of large gold fields in West Africa. The Natougou project forecasts an average annual production of more than 226,000 ounces of gold over the first three years.

During the first quarter of 2017, CIS will assure, in a first phase, the construction of a central kitchen, and then catering and living accommodations services for 400 agents, ie more than 430,000 annual meals for a period of 14 months.

Perfectly in line with the ARISE 500 plan, this new concretization allows CIS to strengthen its positions in this area with strong potential of development in the mining sector and confirms the confidence and satisfaction of its customer Semafo.
